ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/OWNER
Devyn is a passionate dance educator and studio director dedicated to inspiring dancers of all ages to reach their full potential. Over her nine-year teaching career, she has earned numerous accolades, including Studio Director awards, special recognition for her choreography, and multiple overall placements for her students in a variety of dance styles. Her innovative teaching methods and creative choreography have left a lasting impact, earning high praise from students and parents alike.
Devyn is First Aid and CPR certified, Acrobatic Arts Module 1 certified, ADE Jazz certified, and has completed both the Jumpstart Dance Intensive Teacher Training and YPAD certification. She prioritizes safe and effective training, focusing on combining strength, technique, and artistry to help dancers excel.
As the director of Mercury Dance Academy, Devyn is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive studio environment where exceptional training meets a sense of community and fun. She values creating a "family feel" at the studio and continuously strives to provide dancers of all ages and abilities with the most up-to-date teaching techniques and choreography.

ADMINISTRATOR / OWNER
Tracy Scott-Lopers has dedicated her career to working with children, bringing over 30 years of experience as an Educational Assistant at the DDSB, where she specialized in supporting children with special needs. Her passion for helping others extends beyond the classroom, as she has coached and taught a variety of activities, including track and field, Ukrainian dance, and baseball. Tracy is especially proud of coordinating the annual Abilities Track and Field Meet and pioneering inclusive dance classes for children with special needs, providing them with the opportunity to compete in dance competitions.
As a Dance Mom for over 17 years, Tracy volunteered extensively at dance studios, managing front desk duties and administrative tasks. Today, as the administrator of Mercury Dance Academy, she is thrilled to support her daughter Devyn’s vision of running a dance studio. Tracy is also CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone at the studio.
Tracy is proud to be part of a family-friendly, supportive environment where respect, love, and encouragement are at the heart of every class. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive and nurturing space for all dancers makes her an invaluable member of the Mercury Dance Academy team.

Miss Georgia is an integral part of our dance family at Mercury Dance Academy, bringing passion, energy, and a deep commitment to fostering a love for movement.
As one of our dedicated recreational instructors, Miss Georgia ensures her classes are fun, safe, and accessible for every student. Her impressive qualifications include certification in Module One of Acrobatic Arts and First Aid & CPR and being a 200-hour certified Yoga Teacher through Kootenay Yoga School in Isla Mujeres. This diverse expertise allows her to seamlessly blend strength, mindfulness, and movement into her teaching.
Miss Georgia’s physical and mental well-being dedication shines in every class. Her balance of positivity and care empowers students to grow not only as dancers but also as individuals.

TAP INSTRUCTOR
Kennedy Greer is a passionate tap dance instructor at Mercury Dance Academy, known for her enthusiasm and love for the art of tap. Currently pursuing her teaching degree, Kennedy is committed to both her personal growth and her students' success. She is YPAD certified and has been trained in the Tap Dance Centre syllabus, ensuring that her students receive top-notch, structured tap education.
Kennedy has a deep passion for equity and inclusion, and she strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for every student. Her love for teaching shines through as she fosters a space where all dancers feel valued and encouraged to grow. Kennedy has a special connection with kids, making learning fun while instilling strong technique and a love for tap dance.
Her dedication to tap, combined with her commitment to inclusivity, makes Kennedy an invaluable part of the Mercury Dance Academy team!

Miss Vanessa is a cornerstone of our teaching team at Mercury Dance Academy, celebrated for her incredible talent, dedication, and unwavering passion for dance. With over 10 years of experience and training across a wide range of dance styles, Miss Vanessa brings a dynamic approach to her work with both recreational and competitive dancers.
Her impressive credentials include First Aid and CPR certification, YPAD certification, and ADE Jazz Certified. Miss Vanessa’s commitment to excellence is evident in her attention to detail and her drive to continually grow as an educator. She has attended numerous industry-leading seminars, learning from the best to ensure she brings the most innovative and inspiring techniques to her classes.
Miss Vanessa’s teaching goes beyond choreography; she’s dedicated to building confidence, discipline, and artistry in her students, creating an uplifting environment where every dancer feels supported and motivated to reach their full potential.
