Devyn Scott

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/OWNER

Miss. Devyn is a passionate dance educator and studio director dedicated to inspiring dancers of all ages to reach their full potential. Over her ten-year teaching career, she has earned numerous accolades, including Studio Director awards, special recognition for her choreography, and multiple overall placements for her students in a variety of dance styles. Her innovative teaching methods and creative choreography have left a lasting impact, earning high praise from students and parents alike.

Devyn is First Aid and CPR certified, Acrobatic Arts Module 1 certified, ADE Jazz certified, and has completed both the Jumpstart Dance Intensive Teacher Training and YPAD certification. She prioritizes safe and effective training, focusing on combining strength, technique, and artistry to help dancers excel.

As the director of Mercury Dance Academy, Devyn is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive studio environment where exceptional training meets a sense of community and fun. She values creating a "family feel" at the studio and continuously strives to provide dancers of all ages and abilities with the most up-to-date teaching techniques and choreography.

Devyn’s passion for dance and dedication to her students shine in every class, making her an integral part of the Mercury Dance Academy family.

Tracy Scott-Lopers

ADMINISTRATOR / OWNER

Tracy Scott-Lopers has dedicated her career to working with children, bringing over 30 years of experience as an Educational Assistant at the DDSB, where she specialized in supporting children with special needs. Her passion for helping others extends beyond the classroom, as she has coached and taught a variety of activities, including track and field, Ukrainian dance, and baseball. Tracy is especially proud of coordinating the annual Abilities Track and Field Meet and pioneering inclusive dance classes for children with special needs, providing them with the opportunity to compete in dance competitions.

As a Dance Mom for over 17 years, Tracy volunteered extensively at dance studios, managing front desk duties and administrative tasks. Today, as the administrator of Mercury Dance Academy, she is thrilled to support her daughter Devyn’s vision of running a dance studio. Tracy is also CPR and First Aid certified, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone at the studio.

Tracy is proud to be part of a family-friendly, supportive environment where respect, love, and encouragement are at the heart of every class. Her dedication to fostering an inclusive and nurturing space for all dancers makes her an invaluable member of the Mercury Dance Academy team.

Cristina Catulli

COMPETITIVE INSTRUCTOR

Miss Cristina brings a strong technical and performance background to Mercury Dance Academy’s teaching team. She is a graduate of Centennial College’s Dance Performance program and is ADAPT Certified, Acrobatic Arts Certified, and First Aid & CPR Certified. Her training has provided her with experience across a variety of dance styles and a strong understanding of technique, performance and movement.

In addition to teaching, Cristina is a member of the Fury Dance Team, where she continues to train, perform and develop as an artist. Her ongoing performance experience allows her to bring current industry knowledge, creativity and energy into the classroom.

Cristina is passionate about helping dancers develop strong technique and grow their love of dance. Her dedication to her students make her a wonderful addition to the Mercury Dance Academy team.

Kennedy Greer

TAP INSTRUCTOR

Miss. Kennedy is a passionate tap dance instructor at Mercury Dance Academy, known for her enthusiasm and love for the art of tap. Currently pursuing her teaching degree, Kennedy is committed to both her personal growth and her students' success. She is YPAD and First Aid & CPR certified, Tap Roots Certified, and trained in the Tap Dance Centre syllabus, ensuring that her students receive top-notch, structured tap education.

Kennedy has a deep passion for equity and inclusion, and she strives to create a welcoming and supportive environment for every student. Her love for teaching shines through as she fosters a space where all dancers feel valued and encouraged to grow. Kennedy has a special connection with kids, making learning fun while instilling strong technique and a love for tap dance.

Her dedication to tap, combined with her commitment to inclusivity, makes Kennedy an invaluable part of the Mercury Dance Academy team!

Taylor Nicole

Competitive Instructor/Choreographer

Miss Taylor teaches throughout Mercury Dance Academy’s Mini, Recreational and Competitive programs. She is a graduate of Centennial College’s Dance Performance program, ADE Jazz Certified, and First Aid & CPR Certified. Having grown up as a competitive dancer, Taylor trained extensively in a wide variety of styles and developed a strong foundation in both technique and performance.

Taylor also has a background in musical theatre, with several performance, choreography and show credits. She continues to perform professionally as a member of the Fury Dance Team for the Oshawa FireWolves.

In March 2024, Taylor launched Verve Dance Collective, her own professional dance company. Since then, the company has performed at several high-profile events, including galas for RBC Bank and The Benefit Alliance, with Taylor contributing as both a choreographer and performer.

Taylor’s experience across teaching, choreography and professional performance allows her to connect with dancers of all ages and levels. Her creativity, versatility and passion for dance make her a valued member of the Mercury Dance Academy team.

Jordyn Scott

Recreational Instructor

Miss. Jordyn teaches recreational classes, bringing both her dance experience and strong educational background to the studio. She is First Aid Certified, ADE Jazz Certified, and has been part of the dance world for over 20 years.

Jordyn holds a diploma in Social Service Work and is currently pursuing a degree in Sociology at Trent University, where she is also in the Teacher Education Stream. Her background in both dance and social services gives her a unique ability to connect with students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Passionate about mentorship and community, Jordyn is committed to creating a safe and supportive space for all dancers. She is thrilled to be part of the team and looks forward to inspiring and empowering young dancers each week.
